So just like your favourite book needs to be adapted into a film, we’ve been working on adapting our experience for the digital space.
And we quickly realized that digital events should not be hosted on Zoom. Zoom is a wonderful tool for meetings. But you wouldn’t host a special event in your office’s Meeting Room B, would you?
That’s why we sought out to partner with an organization that’s helping define the future of digital events - to create an experience for all of you that would still feel like TEDxToronto, and take advantage of what digital has to offer
We are so excited to host TEDxToronto on a digital platform called Venue. Created by early members of the Wealthsimple team here in Toronto, Venue has given us the tools to create our own beautiful, interactive space for our community to bond with our speakers, see everyone’s reactions in real time, and make authentic connections together.
We are still at the very beginning of creating meaningful virtual events - just think back to the dawn of e-commerce in 2006 and how much it has changed. Over the course of our 2020-2021 season, you’ll get to watch Venue grow and evolve into what we believe will be an incredible platform to help spread ideas, build community, and change lives around the world.
We can’t wait for you to experience a digital event platform that’s been designed with community in mind.
